Popes Visit to Austria Demands 3500 Police Protection
Austria sets up post Thursday with 3500 police officers and soldiers to protect the Pope during his visit Friday. Police are embracing three protest, one being in Central Vienna by Socialist youth organizations against the Pope’s stance on homosexuality issues. Bomb-sniffing dogs screened the sites that the Pope will visit, and 50 aircraft including attack helicopters and interceptor jets are also being readied. read more…
Double Life Terms In Gay Man’s Murder
Robert Holly Lofton Porter pleaded guilty Wednesday to intentional murder in the slaying of Scotty Joe Weaver. Weaver was attacked and murdered in his trailer home in July 2004. He was 18 years old. His body was then carted to a quiet dirt road where his killers set it on fire and then casually drove off, after robbing him of between $65 and $80. read more…
