Associated Press Prepares Brit’s Obituary
What the hell? We don’t normally report on super crazy gossip, but this one is too good to pass. US Weekly is reporting that the most respected news feeder, the Associated Press is prepared to break the story for the death of Britney Spears. I love celebrity gossip like most girls and guys out there, but this has to be the most unethical thing I’ve ever heard of a media network doing… asides from Perez Hilton’s sperm drawing.
AP’s entertainment editor, Jesse Washington, told Us, “We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a long time. I think one would agree that Britney seems at risk right now. Of course, we would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now…but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared.â€?
I’m seriously wondering how the AP’s public relation is going to handle this at their next conference? What’s next… breaking the story of Matthew McConaughey baby’s name?

Wow. I’m really getting tired of the media talking about her like that. The media is going to end up being the reason that she will die. They are going to kill her like they killed Princess Dai. Have we all forgotten how they played that big role in her death? Have these people no shame?

Most major news outlets have an obit dept, in which they constantly write stories about celebs, no matter what, if they’re having a tough time or not. Because it’s so hard to put out a story in two seconds once they pass and readers expect a lot. This is standard practice, no mater who the politico or star is.

Surprise, Surprise all news agencies do this for all major celebrities and newsmakers - not just Britney.

I can’t believe you would actually make a story out of this. This situation is not the slightest bit unusual.
Nobody remembers this story about the accidental discovery of CNN’s Dick Cheney obit? http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/cnnobit1.html
