In Remembrance: Lawrence King
We may be a little late in posting this, but discrimination never ends unless you fight for it. This post is to remember 15 year old, Lawrence King, who was brutally murdered at his junior-high school for his sexual orientation on February 12th. King was shot in the head after a confrontation with a boy that he asked to be his valentines. Our greatest respect goes to the friends and family of Lawrence King and we pray that you and everyone else will get through his monsterous period and encourage our neighbors to help lead the fight to end all sorts of discrimination. GLSEN has posted a PSA video, Be A Voice Against Violence, that you can view after the jump.

If you haven’t done anything yet to help lead the fight we encouage you too. Express your thoughts. Let it be known that you won’t stand to see another person killed because of hate. It’s really sad just to think that only 10 years ago Matthew Shepard was murdered for being gay. This has to be stopped. And it has to be now!
