OMFG, CW Pulls ‘Gossip Girl’ From Web Stream

After the much talked about OMFG ad campaign, featuring four cast members in heterosexual kama sutra positions, and the “unexpected” spike in publicity that they received because of the ad, the CW Network has decided to get rid of its most unlikely threat: its own website.
The network, in yet another press release stated that “episodes of its series “Gossip Girl” will not be streamed on CWTV.com when “Gossip” returns Monday”. The first 12 episodes of the season, however, will remain on the site. Gossip Girl, like all their other shows are usually posted online one week after the first showing as I came to discovered while I was trying to catch up with America’s Next Top Model.
The network adds that the yank is only temporary as they are experimenting to see whether their online division is cannibalizing their TV audience.
Now a days many large networks are “re-airing” their hit shows online in hopes of bringing their audience back to the television set. Obviously its not working.
