Obama makes big gay promises, but can he pull through?

The world took a miraculous turn Nov. 4 for –hopefully — the best with the election of President-Elect Barack Obama. A few hours later we found out that California’s Proposition 8, which bans gay marriage, had passed. Without a doubt that was one of the biggest disappointment in politics that I have ever endured.

Now I have something to smile about… at Change.gov, Obama has laid out his plans for the LGBT community which includes: 1) Combating workplace discrimination, 2) Expand Hate Crimes Statutes, 3) Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples, 4) Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage, 5) Repeal Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell, 6) Promote AIDS Prevention, 7) Expand Adoption Rights and 8) Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS.

That’s a lot to do in four years. Do you think he can make it happen? Let’s hope he can fulfill all his promises.

Jeanne White-Ginder to speak in Dallas

Jeanne White-Ginder of the Ryan White Foundation will be speaking Friday, Dec. 5, as part of the World
AIDS Day in Dallas, Texas.

In 1984, 13-year-old Ryan became infected through a tainted hemophilia treatment. His story gained national exposure after being expelled from school because of his infection. Throughout a lengthy legal battle with the school board, Ryan quickly became a national spokesperson for AIDS research and education.

Thank god I’m not the only one in this world that is somewhat clueless about geography, politics, and all that Jabba the hut crap. I honestly can’t pinpoint India or Iran on a map — no offense of course, except for my stupidity.

Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford is looking mighty fine in his interview video, even though he slips up on most of the answers he gave. He also tried to debunk his gay rumors by saying Tokyo is the fashion capital of the world.

Gay radio show yanked off air

Oh no, sound the sirens!

The wildly popular nightlife radio talk show ‘DList Radio’ announced Tuesday that its show has been canceled after a station scandal went wrong.

During the as yet un-aired November 8 show which features interviews with
comedians Booth and Pat, the band The Tigerlillies, Dick Chibbles Porn Clown
and an interview with Dr Pouset, a French Anthropologist who studied the
similarities between Bonobo Apes and Homos, hosts Daniel Nardicio and Matt
Phillp discussed how enamored Nardicio was with the station’s sound
technician Joe and afterwards, the show was mysteriously unavailable
online.

Nardicio abd Phillp called the station the following morning to discover that the show had been ‘lost.’ The two tried to comprise with the station and apologized to Joe for the  apparent offensive remark, but the station reacted by canceling their show.

What has the world come to — a gay man can’t even try to hook it with a straight man’s booty.

Actor Hugh Jackman took an early morning swim Saturday at Bondi Beach with an unidentified male friend in Sydney, Australia.

Jackman will appear in the new movie “Austrailia” with Nicole Kidman which premieres Nov. 26, 2008. The actor was accompanied by a less furry friend. One more pic after the jump.
