Renowned writer and director Del shores paid a visit to North Texas’ gay and lesbian youths Friday at the Youth First Texas center during his visit in Dallas for a very personal and intimate Q&A session with the ‘youngsters’.
Shores, 50, known for his writing in “Queer as Folks”, “Dharma & Greg”, and LOGO’s biggest hit “Sordid Lives” was in town to cast his latest play, “The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife.”
Alongside Shores was his life partner and actor Jason Dottley, 27, in which the duo brought roars of laughter to the room with their classy charm and stunning good looks.
“Really powerful!,” Shores said answering the first question from Steven Richmond, a youth whom was amongst a crowd of 30, who wondered how life was for Shores as a gay director.

Gay equality as we know it in California has taken a turn for the worst as Proposition 8, a bill to ban gay marriages, unfortunately passed.
The LGBT community is calling out to all California residents and to the entire world to please stand up and fight against this madness. It is immorally wrong to deny any couple of their rights to get married and it is ridiculous to put words into our lords mouth that shows such disdain and hate for another human being.

<p>The actor was spotted walking into his local polling station where he spent about 30 minutes waiting to vote. He was in high spirits and when asked who he voted for he said “Who do you think?” and then went on to say he had been campaigning for Obama over the weekend in Missouri. He also said that he voted ‘No’ on Prop 8, which is the legislation that is trying to ban gay marriage, and he voted ‘yes’ on Prop 2, which would help protect battery chickens.</p>

<p>Anthony Badalamenti, who helped a man lose 186 pounds on the reality show “The Biggest Loser” in 2007, is charged with second-degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. The 31-year-old bodybuilder of Merrick, N.Y., was being held on $100,000 (USD) bond or $50,000 cash.</p>
<p>Badamenti also has a live-in girlfriend, Jessica Muniz, 29, who faces the same charges.</p>
